  • I dont understand why...

    I am not losing???

I am walking like a maniac..hard on my knees with this osteoarthritis...they ache! Determined to get exercise in...so I do...

    extended induction...eating my carbs...no more than 20

I am drinking coffee ....no diet sodas...

too much cheese at times... love that stuff...

I am older now than previously on atkins, hormones may be out of whack...

I am under ALOT of stress....cortisol maybe taking over

I do notice my CCL is low so that I wont lose if I up it... so will not do OWL right now...I have done atkins before and I know my CCL...

I calculated this program , with a differant program I had done for a month and my weight loss and am SURPRISED with the lower amount lost on atkins...the last time I did atkins I lost 185 in 10 months and a steady loss each day...

I am CONFUSED, frustrated and dont know to stay on this or go back to the other program to see how I do...ARGHHHHHHHHH! Venting but need advice please

Hi,Griffs! Did I miss something or does your siggy say you have lost 18lbs since September 23?? That is an awesome amount of weight in less than 6 weeks! You are doing great!

Check out moochiecat's post in extended induction stickies called "weight loss isn't linear". If you are following the plan consistently, drinking your water, and exercising the fat IS melting, even if the evil scale doesn't show it yet. It will though!
    Start 6/15/07
    51, f, 5'10"
    198/165/165

    Goal reached March 7, 2008!

Kelly is right, Griff. You also have to remember that the significant amounts of weight you removed the first time were because you had a very large amount to lose.

You've removed 22% of the weight you need to remove in a lousy 5 weeks. There's nothing slow about that AT ALL! In order to do the same thing with 180lbs to lose, you'd have had to lose 39.6lbs in the same period of time.

It's a perspective thing, Griff. You're NOT losing slowly. You're averaging almost 3lbs a week. I lost 4lbs in the last 6 weeks. Wanna trade?

You may be going through P.I.S.S if you're on extended induction. Why don't you try moving on to OWL?
