Back after finally getting thyroid meds right....

After over a month of living he**, I am back on Atkins. For a quick update.....had thyroid removed end of June, couldn't get meds right for whatever reason - it finally took me going very hypothyroid in the month of October for them to adjust my meds again. There were days I couldn't even get out of bed - it was horrible.

Anyway, I finally feel better and restarted Atkins today. I know it works and plan NOT to fall of the wagon again.

Hi Angie,

Sorry to hear you have been having a tough time with your thyroid - but it is great you are back here and on track.

I think it is definately harder for those with thyroid issues to lose weight but this diet is the one way I found - as you probably know since you've already lost 25lbs.

Thanks Alexa. I know this is the only way for me to eat - I did it in 2003 and lost 75 lbs. Had no idea what the problem was, besides me eating wrong, gained almost all of it back - only to discover my thyroid had quit and they thought I had cancer. I didn't have cancer, praise God and had my thyroid removed June 2007. The meds have been a huge problem but all is well now, so I am finally back to this way of life, knowing it works !!
