  • another fitday question.......

    i just set it up this morning too. to save me from having to figure out that whole thing now.....who can tell me how many calories 35 minutes of raking and carry leaves to the curb burns? LOL

    looking for all the help and motivation i can get.....
    Hello, my name is Christopher and
    I am with my son, Nicholas Christopher
    Start Date:10/29/07 @ 276lbs

    I am 42 now

    SW 276lbs / CW 264lbs / GW 190
    I am 5'10"

    I gained some back but I have regained my focus!!

    Have you investigated the 'activities' section of fitday yet? You can either type an activity into the box or click on the 'browse' arrow and choose a general area of exercise like gardening or housework etc to find one that resembles what you are doing then log how many minutes you did.
    Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
    Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

    F/60 yrs/5ft 5.5" (Though due to collapsing vertebrae I am now only 5'3" - but I refuse to recalculate my BMI )

      thanks for helping me along.....every once in a while i need a little push. if i did it correctly, i only burned 169 calories.....thats not good enough!!

      i am gonna have to go out and rake the front lawn later too....

          There are just too many variables here to figure this one out!

          Wet leaves or dry? What kind of rake are you using, how tall is the grass or are you raking pavement? Are the leaves getting stuck in the prongs and last but not least, are you carrying the leaves by hand a scoop at a time, or hauling them on a tarp, or in a bucket? LOL

          If it's cold and you don't wear a coat, you'll burn more calories in any case..

            We've got plenty of lawn and leaves if you run out. ... and then theres wood to stack, and...... come on over





            290 lbs. on 11/02/07 Goal: 145 lbs. or size 14 whichever comes first!

              lol.......i just may come over......i like this kinda of exercise. and the previous post......its been drizzling all day, so they were kinda wet leaves.....but the ones under the bushes were still kinda dry. its november now, and as i am raking, at one point, i looked up and saw at least a dozen or so leaves falling from the trees......lol

              so i did the front yard too.....which is a lot bigger than the back yard. i asked my wife how long i was out there, and she said for 45 minutes, although i think it was more than that.

              so in total, if thats true........i did 1 hour and 20 minutes of rtaking leaves today!! oh and, i declared sundays a pushup-free day to give my body some time to rest. so far i am up to 276 pushups. will start again tomorrow morning and i am looking forward to it.
