  • What are you thankful for?

Right at this moment I'm thankful that my DH is okay. He was in a car accident this AM. Very snowy with some sleet. Got rearended by someone going too fast on the interstate. The car was a total loss. Thankfully DH walked away with no issues. Home now from the ER & it is just really hitting us what happened this AM. Very frightening to say the least.

I am also thankful for all the friends I have at ADBB!! This has just been the greatest support system & for that I'm very grateful.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

Re: What are you thankful for?

I'm thankful for so much I don't have time to type it all out.

However at this exact moment - I am thankful my husband went hunting tonight and got 2 deer, his 1st ever!

I'm thankful I have the ability to stay home with my kids, run the farm we live on and love, and school my 2 children which was something just "given" to me to do this year and now I don't miss the "ah hah" moments anymore.

I'm thankful that I have a wonderful husband that after many trials and issues of life, we've overcome them and made our way through them instead of giving up. Now we are quite happy together even after 17+ years together and 12 of those married.

I'm happy my family is healthy.

I'm thankful that even online there are so many people I can reach out to and share stuff with, especially when a lot of local friends don't understand

Thoughts, prayers, and thanks for your loved ones in accidents! Becareful out there!

My hubby's driving to Spokane, WA 8 hour drive, and won't be home until tomorrow afternoon. So, yeah, I'm a little nervous (to say the least)...but I'm thankful for the little things right now because we know lots of folks who don't have them...

        ADBB
        Food
        water
        shelter
        gas in the car
        heat
        clean air
        toilet paper
        roof over our head
        family
        friends
        cell phones

the list could go on, but I'll stop there

I'm thankful for so many things...

That my Dad is still here, and knows who I am, even though he has more off days than on days now (He has Alzheimer's)

For my kids, who teach me patience and force me to laugh even when I don't want to

For my hubby, who is the sweetest boy I know and always makes me feel like I am the princess of the house.

That my sisters, brother & granny are healthy and well.

That I have fabulous friends who make me laugh 'till I want to pee my pants.

That I discovered this site - how awesome are you guys!

So happy all the accident victims are okay. Hope they all recover quickly.

I'm thankful for everything in my life. Our lives are so precious - our kids, grandkids, my husband (of 31 years) family and friends. Thankful for Dr. Atkins for this wonderful WOE that has changed my entire life. Thankful for Tom for giving us this great forum to keep us inspired and educated on this WOE.

Bless all of you and hope everyone has a very safe and happy Thanksgiving.

So sorry to hear of the accidents! Very thankful that you are all okay...cars can be repaired/replaced!

I am thankful for so so much. For my salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ my Savior, first and foremost. It never ceases to amaze me at His unfailing love. Thankful for my husband of nearly 30 years .. and our wonderful 23 year old daughter who has blessed our lives in so many ways and continues to do so.

I am so thankful for Dr. Atkins and how his words have restored my energy and youth that I thought was long-gone when I hit 40 (which was a very long time ago...) I realize now that poor eating habits and a sedentary lifestyle robbed me of alot of years, but I am doing my part now making up for it! I am thankful for every bit of strength I have to take up running at age 47...4 years ago now.. and still running strong!

Thankful for a great job (albeit a stressful one at times!) where I can telecommute and be my own boss (to the degree my customers let me!) I am thankful to have been able to move to Florida and escape the cold bitter winters of Nebraska that I endured for 40+ years ..

I am thankful for every single day !

                Too many to list!
I'm healthy...all my family is healthy.
I've been able make a modest living as an artist going on 15 years now.

I'm really thankful that because of this WOE I can bend over to tie my shoes without holding my breath

I haven't been around lately as this is a very busy time of year for me....I'll be popping in more after Christmas.

                Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
