    Im debating whether to go on to owl or stay in induction, i want to add more vegetables so thats a good sign that im going in the right direction...

      OH yeah, by the way I couldn't wait anymore, I weighed myself this morning, 4 lbs down. So not too shabby considering I ChEATED ON BOOZE & PIZZA. I want to exercise hard this next week and hopefully get out of the 190's. So now I'm @ 195.

        todd4005,

        Adding more vegies is part of OWL. This is basically rung1 of OWL. If you are done with your induction with no cheats I would say go for OWL rung1. Add the 5 carbs as per to the plan and I add one type of vegie 3 times a day for the whole week and then weigh yourself again and see how your progress is going. You then take it from there.

        You also have the option to extend your induction; extended induction is not part of Atkins phases though.

          I will always, always advocate for moving into Ongoing Weight Loss phase, especially the first rung which is veggies.

          Do NOT be afraid of vegetables. They are healthy, they are yummy, and your body will respond favorably to adding more of them. I don't know of a soul who got fat eating vegetables.

            Hey guys! =) Finally came home. Goodness, it's been a very long day. I was bored the whole day because there wasn't that much to do in the floral department. -.- That's why I need to be a cashier when the training comes around again. Grrr. I already know my codes, I don't want to wait anymore. Ha ha.

            Another successful day of not cheating. I have to study for my test on Saturday. =(

            Great job on the loss you guys!! I'm proud of each and every one of you!

                I think I am fluctuating, but of course I have not been cheat free all the way. I am back down to 229 after I gained 3, lost 3. I will be in induction till I get it right.

                      Good Morning all.....

                      Another cold snowy day here in the Okanagan. I'm making a list of to-do's for the day. (yes Im a list making virgo! lol) I have one worry for the day. Today is the party for my 2 year olds birthday (it was last week but party is today) and there will be CAKE, chocolate cake. I AM SO GOING TO WANT A PIECE OF THAT CAKE. Im tryin so hard to toughen up before the time comes so I can just not have a piece. Hurry and tell me all the reasons NOT To have it, ok?!

                        There are so many reasons why NOT to have that cake. One, you will feel guilty afterwards. Two, you'll crave more and gain what you lost. Three, I'll hunt you down.... >> << >>. Four, it will take you longer to lose the weight if you do. Five, It will take you longer to get to your goals and reward yourself. Six, you will feel horrible a few hours after eating the cake because of carb and sugar rush. Seven, a million other reasons. Eight, I will still hunt you down =P. Nine, you might not come back here and we don't want that. Ten, because you will be gorgeous-er when you lose more weight. Teehee.

                        That's all I have!!! ^_^ I wish you all the luck hun. I know you have the willpower to stay away! I have all faith in you!

                              Excellent post Jimmy.. Thanks for the reference and thanks to Meg for posting it.

                              My current problem is the nay-sayers, and unfortunately they are many around me.. but I keep going and I know for sure that at some point when I am healthier and skinnier, those same people will look and wish they started the same day I did..

                              Keep yourself busy I would say and keep holding that bottle of water, each time you think about that bite, take a sip. It really helps!

                              PLEASE, always remember, this bite can be your slippery sloop back to your old eating habits. Just do NOT do it!

                                Just wanted to say thanks for all of the encouragement I have been recieving over teh PM's, it has meant a lot. I feel like I am back on track and am working on day 3 of a clean induction. My goal right now is just to make it through induction. I have also given up cream which kind of sucks. You guys did awsome on the weigh in, you deserve a pat on the back. I secretly weighed in on Wednesday and found that I have only gained a pound, so basically I maintaned during a week in which I had several bad cheats and letdowns. I am back and am looking forward to making progress with everyone in here.
