You know what works great and is recommended by Dr. Atkins???? A tablespoon of Flax seed meal in water... tastes aweful, but you get used to it... Works like a charm! Also there are recipes to make muffins with it and that's good too, but it ups your carbs to eat that much...

Any of the greens in a large quantity. Collards, Mustard, Turnip, Spinach.

Pumpkin is an EXCELLENT source of fiber.

          Jicama is another.

But I thought flaxseed meal didn't count toward your carb counts because it's fiber? 4 carbs and 4 from dietary fiber = 0 carbs.

              Re: Highest in Fiber

I am sure someone can say why it is that flax seed has carbs, but I know I count 1/4 cup of flax seed as 2 carbs. I am not sure if that is correct or not. I believe I got the number from a hidden carb counter, maybe. It has been months since I started eating flax.

I eat a flax muffin every morning and I stay regular. My other suggestion would be cabbage and spinach as I eat them most days as well.

Thank you so so much. Flax muffin every morning sounds delish can't wait for that rung. See you guy's I love all of these foods and eat them, and probably need to see a specialist about the problem.

If you need a quick fix for days of "backup" you might try a megadose of Vitamin C.

Just make sure that as you increase your fiber, you increase your water intake, too.
