    I have a viral infection. I have a nasty painful cough, and all I want to do is snarf down some carbs, like a big bowl of Cheerios!

    I'm wondering if it's because I'm so used to comforting myself with food, namely carbs? Or if it's my body's way of saying that it needs a certain nutrient while fighting a sickness?

    Anyone have any low-carb recommendations to help me feel better? I'm using decaf tea right now, but it's not cutting it!

    Sorry to hear you are not well

    I would make some soup (puree some legal cooked veggies and meat then add cream and/or butter and water to your chosen consistency) as I doubt there is anything in cheerios that you need and cant get from some 'legal' food!!
