  • Just had to say

I was talking with the kids this morning and they were telling me how they have noticed I have more energy for them. We were planning an upcoming trip and it almost made me cry to hear them say they felt they got to do more now. Which made me start thinking and I just had to take a moment to say how grateful I am of finding this WOL and this support board. I started the second week of June 2007 and have had nothing, but postive results. I know I could not have made it this far without the support from the members, advice from the members, and challenges. I am proud to have never cheated. But most of all I am enjoying the changes this WOL has made and is making in my daily life. I went from no energy, upset stomach all the time, headaches, joint pains, and no sex drive at all to the complete opposite. And it truly has enriched my life.

I am most proud of my new ability to enjoy my children more. On a daily basis I have more energy to interact with them, but where I can tell the difference is the big things. We take atleast 1 yearly trip sometimes 2 to Disney every year. In Jan 2006, when we went the kids missed alot of things, because I simply would give out each day and we would go back to the resort. We even had to leave a day earlier than planned, because I was just done. We went in August 2007, and boy what a surpise. I was able to keep up with the kids. But more than that it didn't feel like a chore. It was fun. That trip gave me hope for the future. Now we are going back to Disney at the end of Jan 2008 and I can not wait to see the diference this time. The kids are so happy, because they truly get to do so much more in a day. And i feel GREAT!

It amazes me the impact of this WOL. I am a better mother, lover, wife, and all around better person. Thank you so much to everyone that has helped me along the way.

Wow! Very inspiring and powerful testimony! I am so grateful to Dr. Atkins for fighting to get this WOE accepted and never giving up when everyone was against him! We are proof-positive that this WOE is not only the best way to lose weight, but to improve our health and mental attitude in ways we never dreamed possible when we started this 'diet' to lose a few pounds.

Thank you all for your kind words and rep points. I am glad that inspiration and support will come out of my long winded bablings. Honestly, everytime I read it I am amazed it is me.

Emma- Thank you for the suggestion to change my name. But my name is a play of what we call my daughter (Madison McFatison, Addison, etc). It is like a little rythmimg name so its special to me. Even though it does say Fatty it makes me smile everytime I see it.
