  • Good Stuff

I bought a container of GOYA brand "piquant smoky ancho chili" Salsita.
They called it a hot sauce, but it only has a nibble, not a bite....kind of like a tangy BBQ sauce. 1 gm carbs per two Tablespoons. I like this straight on roast/grilled meat: it makes a great BBQ sauce.
Just thought I'd pass that along in case anyone was looking for a BBQ like sauce. Found it with the brazillian/portugese foods in my local supermarket.

Hmmm wonder if this would take the place of the "chili sauce" in my meatball recipe. I've found sugar free (Splenda sweetened) grape jelly. My fave grocery store has lots of Goya brand stuff.

    Sunny!

It's nothing like chili sauce....I presume you are talking the chinese or thai chili sauce?

No. It's made by Heinz or Hunt's and is where the seafood cocktail sauce, and other kinds of sauces are, near the mustard and ketchup. It's kinda like a spicy BBQ sauce. It has a good bit of sugar, though.
