  • Feeling Great!!!!!

I do not post much around here. I normally read, read, read. I feel the more information I have the chances of succeeding are greater.

I have to post today though. I am on day nine of induction and I feel GREAT!!!! I have sooooo much energy.

Just to think 4 days ago I was begging my hubby to take me to a Mexican Restaurant but he told me NO. Thank goodness. He asked me why I would want to ruin what I had started? Believe me, I am so glad I didn't.

You all just keep posting so I can keep reading!

    Thanks
    Miranda

        Thanks for the replies!

Blue996 I hope and pray that I have the strength that you have to continue on thru 4 months. I want this to be a life style change but I am so afraid of messing up again. I have tried and tried this many times. The longest that I ever went was 2 weeks. But yesterday my boss tried giving me candy twice and I turned him down I was so proud. No one could believe that I turned down candy. I think this time I may have it.

Beautybox something that I found is really good is parmesan chicken. It is so yummy. Also a mock danish is good in the morning. When I bring parmesan chicken to work for lunch I will usually bring a salad with it and everyone will go on about how good it looks and smells. I tell ya you need to try it!

          Applejax:

The parmesan chicken sounds yummy (and I can't even smell it yet) how do you make it?

Congratulations on turning down the candy! Way To Go! You are just proving to yourself that you can in fact - do this. In just a few short months you will be like Blue996 looking back and being amazed out how simple this really was & LOVIN your inner you that is finally sneaking out for the world to see! Keep up the good work!

Something I found empowering as I was loosing was HOW I turned down such offerings. When I said "I can't eat ______" people would continue to press. "Can't" made them think that I wanted to, but was just resisting for now. Instead I would say "I don't eat ______". Like Yoda said, there is no try. Can't indicates trying. There is DO or DO NOT. The dououts stopped being passed my way at morning meetings almost immediatley.

                    Great insightful post
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

                      Re: Feeling Great!!!!!

Thanks for all of the post. The darned computer was giving us fits and the hubby had to reformat it about 3 times. Finally, up and running!

To make parmesan chicken I cut up bite size pieces of chicken and roll them in mayo then parmesan and bake on 375 to 400 for 30 to 45 minutes. I have also just rolled the chicken in parmesan. Either way is yummy!

FYI I started the New Year out weighing 228 lbs. I weighed 2 days ago and I am down to 217!!!!!! I was like wow! I also took my measurements and I am down like a half inch here and there. Nothing remarkable.

This weekend I had the opportunity to eat McDonalds with my family but I so chose not to. It was a tough choice but now no problem. I don't want to eat McDonald's again! I don't want to eat anything ever again that once made me fat. I am hooked! Atkins Rocks!!!!!!!!!
