  • Messed up Big time and Now I'm sick

    I need some help real quick...Last night my hubby and I decided to go out for dinner, so i got online and looked up every place I was thinking abouts nutrition menu and so forth....OK we decided to go to Carrabas...we get there and its a 75 min wait...so we go to another restaurant I found and same thing by by this point its 8pm and I am STARVING! we ended up at Bucca de Beppo...Amazing food but I fell off the wagon and ate some bread and pasta and had a drink...also the veal Marsala was so sweet there is no way it was not dripping in sugar...I only ate a couple bites but I am concerned if I get back on today and don't slip am i going to gain weight? Or will I just not loose for a few days? Also I woke up in the middle of the night with a cold...Does that stall people, getting sick? and when you guys are sick what do you eat?? Sorry for all the questions I am in need of some serious help!

    I hope someone with better knowledge than me answers you.. but what i know is that the slightest cheat could result in a stall.. for the next couple of days increase the amount of workout you do. as for the flu, if you got the carb-flu, then yes, its a result of the bread and sugar...I suggest carrying a small snack in your back for situations like this because when you get hungry, you tend to start considering cheating, this I know from experience..

      I don't believe this is induction flu just regular old cold...runny nose, sore throat and so on....and yeah even though I am sick I am going to force my self to go for a heavy walk today....I had not started to actually work out due to getting all light headed when I did try so I am going to start by walking....

        Nobody can definitively answer your questions because everyone is different. I hope you are keeping a food journal (FitDay is great) because you can use this experience to start to find out how you react to various situations. My inclination, when I mess up, is to forget about it and move on; but I have found if I document it and what happens afterward, I can go back later and gain insight on how my body works.

          Drink loads of water and get right back on track. Look to the future and learn from the past.
          Sorry to hear about your cold. Hope you feel better soon. I always like soup when I get colds. Hot and comforting.
