  • Pumpkin pie and mom

    I told my mother tonight about my idea for crust for a pumpkin pie recipe. crushed pecans and walnuts for the crust and pumpkin, splenda, all spice, eggs.

    Moms mouth started watering and said without missing a beat... so when ya makin it. lol I said oooo I dunno maybe for your house warming party. Apparently se told her bf too cause he called me later and asked how I found that recipe. said it sounds really good. Little does she know its my low carb recipe for snack

    i use nut crusts for both pumpkin pies and my cheese cakes, my family loves them too and have no idea it's low carb food!

      Just remember, Nuts aren't allowed on induction. At the very earliest, nuts wouldn't be introduced until your 5th week on the plan. That's only if you move into OWL right after your 14 day induction.

        Good point Joy...I have been on Atkins almost four months and am happily staying at OWL 1 until I am in the 170's. I think it is a dangerous path not to progress in the order as prescribed.

          Once off of induction, Linda Low Carb recipe for Crustless Pumpkin Pie is to die for. Yummo . It does not use nuts at all.
