I'm thumbing through the February issue of Family Circle Magazine. There's a little blurb comparing the Ornish Diet and Atkins (when I mean little, I mean little. The comparison is about 1 sentence per diet) And it says it right here in black and white that the Atkins diet is high in trans fat!
Gee, I guess all those baked goods we eat on Atkins are made with tons and tons of hydrolyzed or partially hydrolyzed oil/vegetable shortenings. And I guess all those natural fats we eat on Atkins, like animal fats and vegetable fats from olives and avocadoes are just loaded with icky, artificial, artery-clogging trans fats.
Oh dear!
