Make soups. Cook veggies in chicken broth (cabbage, tomatoes come to mind) and then you can puree the veggies after they are cooked. That will thicken the soup. You could also fry up ground beef and sausage very fine crumbles to add to it. Add some cream for a creamy texture.

Maybe chicken broth, broccoli (pureed) and some cream cheese. Yum, that sounds really good.

Oh, and if you have a crock pot...cook chicken like for 7 or 8 hours and that chicken will be sooooo soft and you'll also have fresh chicken broth.

I reccommend making everythign super tiny and very soft. I know what one wisdom tooth extraction was like and I feel very bad for you having 4 taken out. I really hope you recover quickly from it and feel better soon. I would recommend also that when you eat that you do not chew or attempt not to for some time. 1) to allow gums to heal 2) because you'llhave tender pits for a while

I got all of mine pulled at the same time and I could eat almost normally the next day. I'd heard all sorts of nightmare stories and was terrified, it was no problem at all actually and i i'm scared of the dentist to boot! A cousin of mine had hers pulled while she was pregnant so she could have only a local anesthetic (i was pretty much knocked out) and she had a big mac the same day ..LOL though I'm not recommending that!

I was just very careful not to eat anything crunch or sharp as i still had stitches obviously, but i could definately eat soft foods like tuna, egg salad, warm (not hot) soups etc.

Try not to stress too much, i wish i hadn't!

I got all of mine pulled and I ate steak the same night for dinner.

Of course, that's not a professional recommendation--I'd stick to soft foods. Mashed cauliflower, chicken broth, egg salad, scrambled eggs. YUMMY!

            Don't freak out about it.

Re: Wisdom teeth extraction need help!

I guess the problems happen when the nerves irritated happen to be those attached to other teeth that still have cavities. I know for a fact if you have a tooth pulled next to a tooth with a cavity that cavity tooth will react to the irritation of the extraction. Hope that isn't the case here.

Re: Wisdom teeth extraction need help!

I had all four taken out at the same time a few years ago also. It wasn't as bad as when I had a back molar pulled last year! I actually believe that I went to work the day after. I don't remember eating anything special other that the day it happened, just chew slowly and make sure to keep your mouth clean. I remember kinda having a bad taste in my mouth for a few days. Good Luck, you'll be fine!!

It's really not that bad. I was able to eat pretty well but I fainted the next day at work...so you might want to take a day to rest!

I got all 4 of mine extracted as well, and could only have broth or a couple of days, couldn't chew at all . All of mine were impacted though, so it's likely that made it worse. Get a big bottle of a good mouthwash, it'll help keep the sockets clean while they're healing.

Re: Wisdom teeth extraction need help!

A couple of years ago I had my tonsils out and then not even six months later four wisdom teeth cut out while I was under a general! I found that broth and hot water was all I wanted for either time and I wasn't even doing atkins then! Also, if you are out of induction there are several low-carb pop-sicles and things like that that will not be hard to chew. It really won't be too bad though! Just try to sleep the pain away the first day and after that you will be much better!

I don't remember my Wisdom Teeth being horrible and not eating.. just remember not eating that day.. Of course after the Surgery my husband stopped at the store and bought RIBS! I had Chicken and Rice Soup..you could make that Low carb with Cauliflower...

I did get a dry socket and that was painful..so if you have severe pain afterwards go to the doctor..they have this wonderful stuff that they can pack it and it feels so much better..

My root canal that I had years later was way more painful
