  • I want to know!

    What is the reason that when I am living the Atkins way, I lose weight in places that I never would have thought I would. Okay, well my face is always the first to go, but by losing it kind of makes me shapely. Also when we set our goals, how do we really know that thed goal we pick is actually a good weight for us, or is it maybe too much or too little. I do see big differences but like not in my stomach. I hope you all understand what I am asking.

    most peoples weightloss show in their faces first, why that is the case, i dunno, it just is like that.
    i think we set an initial goal because maybe doctors told us so or we think this is going be a good weight for us.
    i personally have readjusted from 65 to 68 kg because i remember looking and feeling quite good at 68 8 yrs ago.
    i will see how i look when im close to goal and then decide if 68 is ok or if i need to lose more.
    it also depends a lot on how your body is built, i know for a fact that i will never look skinny so why try to get to a weight that is totally unreasonable?
    Date to reach goal: I don't care, as long as it happens :P

      I set my goal based on what I have weighed previously and felt good at. Plus it is realisitic for my height and body shape.

        I set my goal weight at something that I think I won't look too thin at. At 5'6, my first goal is 130, but when I get there and I can stand to lose more, then so be it.

        Decisions are made as everyone gets closer to what their first thought of goal is....some remain at that weight, some go a bit higher and some lower, it does depend on your body type.

        My face and boobs... lol - went first, but you know that is motivation, the face that is... every morning you wake up and look at your face which is thinner, has a better shape and feel that urge to continue on that day.

        I think with any WOE your face will lose the weight first....JMO.
