Forgive me if there is a giant sticky on this matter directly above my post and I've completely missed it..
I'm trying to determine my calorie range to eat in. Just a side note to monitor. I've heard mention on these boards that folks eat at their AMRs - but I've no idea what an AMR is or how to calculate mine.
According to http://http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/ my BMR is currently 1,506 calories. Should I be aiming to eat at this level, with the assumption the additional calories I burn via my usual exercise routines will assist in my weight loss? Should I be eating above it? Should I be eating below it, as this is the amount of calories to keep me at the weight I'm currently at (which is about 50 lbs too much)?
Also, and I'm assuming this puts me at a specific activity level which it doesn't explain, but according to http://www.healthstatus.com/calculate/dee I use up 2,175 calories to keep going - so which should I be basing my caloric count by?
Does anyone have the patience to explain this or perhaps a fabulous online calculator they utilize?
