  • Two weeks of induction ZERO loss!

Many of you responded to my post at 10 days and no loss and I so appreciate the support. Well, now I've finished the two weeks and still no loss.

As I said in my other post, I started a 30 day course of antibiotics the same day that I started induction and then it was TOM. Even though I haven't dropped any weight I have felt major changes going on in my body (ketosticks have also been registering the whole time). Actually, I have felt like cr*p! If you can believe it, I am deciding to continue because I have felt so bad! (today I actually feel better).

Something went wrong in my body 7 years ago and I started gaining weight for no reason that I (or 8 different nutritionists, my internist, or my endocrinologist) have been able to figure out. I think that this yucky, achy feeling that I have had for the past two weeks is actually my body recalibrating. I also think that I have yeast issues that are being made worse by the antibiotics. I'm going to eliminate the foods that contribute to yeast now and not wait until I finish the antibiotics. That means no more cheese for a while . Also, I'll start the probiotics and oil of oregano now (at least two hours apart from the antibiotic).

You'd think I would be crying right now but actually I just know this is going to work. So here I go on another two weeks of induction...

This board is amazing!!!! Thank you everyone.

Sorry about the lack of loss. It definately sounds like you should stick with and see what happens once re-calibration is over.

Well done for not getting all bent out of shape about it

Did you take your measurements? Dr. Atkins wrote that the loss of inches was a more accurate measure of fat loss, because losing inches represents the fat emptying from our body.

Or being blasted off! My scale goes up and down but man...can I ever fit back into some clothes! I have an event coming up in a couple weeks and the dress I thought I couldn't fit into (it was tight 2 weeks ago) now fits me. My stomach is totally shrinking. So scales be damned!!

The first time I went on Atkins I had the same issue. I didnt even drop an ounce in 2 weeks. I finally figured out it was because of yeast. I started Caprylic Acid and a pill called "Yeast Fighter" by Twinlab. I swear to you within 2 days of starting that I dropped 14lbs. Hang in there with the determination and attitude. You can do this!

Girl, you are strong. If it were me and 2 weeks and nothing id probably be crying! But if you are feeling better then it must be working. Plus with excercise all that new muscle building weighs alot more than the fat that is coming off!

I think I am the only one on this whole board who gained weight during induction. I have been on induction for over 2 weeks and have gained 4 pounds. GRRRRRRRRRRR
This is me a few yrs ago at my ideal weight of 130

And this is me now on the right in the black and white shirt...

And I will get back there...I AM DETERMINED! :D

We had an admin member a while back who lost no weight on induction but progressed through OWL and got to goal weight and has been maintaining happily ever since!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

You are to be congratulated for your attitude. I did lose the first week of induction but nothing this last week despite cardio every day and no cheating. Hopefully next week will be better on the scale for everyone!
