  • New Ground Round dish!

Ok, my dad is a diabetic and my mom came across this new dish. You take a pound of ground round and cook it til crumbled and brown then you add a can of cream of mushroom soup and a can of strained bean sprouts. Then you put the mix in a baking dish and sprinkle shredded sharp cheddar cheese ontop and put in oven just to let it melt. I took a bite and I have to say it was soooo good. But I dont want ot cook it and get hooked just yet. The can of soup has I believe has 20 or so grams of carbs and not that many from the sprouts. I am in extended induction and I dont wanna mess up. I dont plan on eating the whole dish. I will share with the hubby and son. LOL.. And of course add a veggie but what yall think? Is it too good to be true? Or atleast until OWL?

Not sure what kind of canned soup is called for, but the ones I've seen are full of induction "no-nos". Try making your own cream of mushroom soup instead of the canned one--that way it will be 100% legal! There are some ways to make soup in the recipes section if you need some help

Pyra - that is so brilliant! I have been staying away from tinned cream of mushroom soup because the nutritional info panel made my eyes wide. Must be the thickening agents they use. Duh! It hadn't occurred to me to make my own!!! (Red faced but laughing!) Thanks!
