Re: im a cheat
Plan your meals over the next few days and begin again. Don't turn a few days of cheats into a few more days, a week, month or longer. Try to figure out what triggers your eating the wrong thing. You've lost some weight, you've done well ... just stick to the plan the next meal you eat and don't anguish over what is done!

Re: im a cheat
clean out your cupboards, no more "illegal" stuff in there.
i did that too, i didnt cheat but i didnt want to be tempted either
dont go to places where you know you'll be facing too many temptations until you can control yourself well enough and dont let anyone convince you that trying that tiny piece of cake wont hurt your weightloss

Re: im a cheat
whats done is done, instead of spending your time worrying about it just think about starting afresh. if you lose the weight you can be the person you really wanna be and not have anything holding you back. when i get tempted i try to have a look at the before and after pics, alot of them are really inspiring and help to reinforce the feeling that you can do it too... and you canfortune cookies always seem funnier when you add 'except in bed' to the end of them! - xkcd

Re: im a cheat
When I feel like I'm having a Carb-Creep moment I dial back to Induction level and get back into ketosis. Three days of that and the urge to cheat goes away. I'm actually doing modified Induction (and have been since I started last April) BECAUSE of my fear of cheating. I have a great respect for my sugar addiction, and I don't want to give any excuse for it to come back, so I keep myself at a level of carbs where the urge to cheat doesn't come into play... however there are times when the pull of breaded chicken is a bit stronger than my resolve. That's when I do the above. At least I'm not running to the store for a pint of ice cream!
Hope this helps,

Re: im a cheat
Hi Ready!
I am having similar problems. I guess it boils down to a choice between losing and cheating. Seems to me that choices AND quantities must be exact in order for me to lose. I find that food combinations and percentages are critical for each 24 hour period.
One day at a time. Here's a laugh for you: I was in a bulk food store yesterday, getting more flax seeds. The next bin over contained corn chips that were laden with flax seeds. The nutritional info was pretty good, so I scooped a small bag-full. As I tied the twist-tie, I thought, "Who am I kidding? I am going to eat these in one sitting if I take them home!!!!" I placed them on top of the bin and walked away, tail between my legs. I loathe people who discard empty coffee cups on store displays, etc. I was ashamed for leaving them where I did, but proud to have been strong enough to know what I HAD to do!
Hang in there, and ask yourself the golden question! Cheat or lose?PinkWoman

Re: im a cheat
Hi... I cheated today too! It made me feel sick to the stomach... but no sense in keeping yourself down like that. Just think, start tomorrow and by Monday you'll be set and have shed the water weight and be back on track.
PinkWoman-- that's such good advice! I need to learn that until I have all my sugar cravings beat once and for all, I can't buy trigger foods and keep them around because they will be gone within 2 hours, even if I tell myself that I can ration them out.

Re: im a cheat
Look to the future but learn from the past. The most important thing is that you've hopped back on the wagon. Get some superglue to help you stay on board and try to figure out what it is that causes you to falter.
Remember to always have some high fat snack handy for when you get a case of the wobblies.
You can do this! Before and after:

PLEDGING FLIGHTS
Completed: 1st set of buildings and mountains (Everest,M.Blanc & Kilimanjaro, twice); Tower Masts & Chimneys; More virtual buildings; Challenger's Choice x 2 (volcanos and mountains on Mars). Currently climbing: Mount Snowdon again: 416/475

Re: im a cheat
I've been tempted myself, especially when I was still having the sweet need bug attack me when I was still addicted to dt mt dew, and to prevent indulging what I did was make sure I had plenty of legal easy things to grab. Here's a basic list-pepper strips, cheese cubes, pepperoni, radish slices, mushrooms, celery, & hot wings (actually just hot wing sauce on grilled chicken breast slices in baggies because I didn't have any wings and the breasts were cheaper than wings)-most of these I ate with ranch for a little extra fat to feed the cravings. To make it easiest on yourself, take an hour or so and slice/dice all your veggies into snack size baggies-I measure 1/2 c for ea baggie. That way you KNOW how much, you don't have to stop and cut-just look at your baggies and grab what you want! I also measure/portion out when I make up a breakfast casserole, hamburger pie or soups, etc. so that I can just grab what I want to take to work without any stress. If you plan ahead, you can plan for success!
Good luck-drink bunches of water to clean that gunk out of your system now!

Re: im a cheat
Ditto on what people have said. It's all wonderful advice. Keeping only legal food in my cupboards has saved me!
Don't dwell on the cheat, just move on and make sure your next bite is legal

Re: im a cheat
Good for you for jumping right back in. I know you can succeed! The determination that kept you from quitting will carry you to your goal.
As for cheating, the only time I've been tempted to cheat has been when I had waited too long to eat and was so hungry that I wanted everything edible. Make sure you're eating every 4-6 hours like DANDR says and that you're eating enough protein and fat. It took me a few days to really commit to eating enough fat to satisfy my appetite but it's been worth it.
I'm rooting for you.
Tim

Re: im a cheat
This is a tough time for me also! I just love those chocolate easter eggs that are pastel covered. I think Cadbury makes them. They are so yummy with a cup of tea and a good book. This morning I told my honey that I would love something really bad to eat and he just smiled and said " I am not going to get that for you!' I love that he supports me and understands when I really really really want to dive into some gummies. I thought the sugar cravings would be gone - but I am really wondering if they are cravings or just old habits that need to be broken.
Stay strong and look at the big picture! You want to be lighter and in control of YOU !!sigpic
