  • I wanna go to the bathroom!!!!

    Hi guys.

    In this days has been very hard for me go to the bathroom , i just dont have the need to go and if i go is for a obligation more than a urgency... so any sugestions??? :dom:

    Wow...atkins seems to have the opposite effect on me.
    I'm always in that dang room.

    My guess would be more water and more veggies.

      If your talking #1 try adding more water.

      If your talking # 2 maybe try adding in a fiber supplement...like psyllium husk (thats what I had to do, cause I was having the same problem, and it worked for me). but again make sure you up your water intake with that as well.

          I take ground flax seeds with my morning meal (mixed into eggs or something else) It provides a good amount of fatty acids and fiber, since I started that, I haven't had a single problem at all 'in there'

              I haven't tried a fiber supplement yet, but I've noticed that once I started going to the gym and doing cardio, I haven't had any problems with the bathroom since. It could be a unique situation to me but that's what I've noticed.

                Strange!

                I drink over 100oz a day of water
                I go to the gym 6x a week.
                I eat spinach regularly
                I've taken metamucil caplets

                And I still can't go! I've resorted to taking a laxative every once in a while. I figure the screaming cramps are worth it. After four days of not going, I need a little help. Pre-Atkins, I lived in the john. Now I need to throw a party whenever I do go....

                  1000 mg of magnesium at bedtime and extra water all day should get you moving and help you sleep. You could start with stool softeners (not laxatives) to move the brick-hard stuff out of the way and natural remedies to keep things moving. More fat helps, as does exercise. It usually takes several things to get 'regular' when you change your diet. One thing to remember--on Atkins there is not as much that your body has to get rid of, so you might not go as often as before.

                      It's induction friendly.

                      I use 1T mixed with my scrambled eggs.

                      Some mornings I just eat flax meal with a little boiled water and splenda for breakfast.

                            From the rules of induction
                            12. If you are constipated, mix a tablespoon or more of psyllium husks in a cup or more of water and drink daily. Or mix ground flaxseed into a shake or sprinkle wheat bran on a salad or vegetables.
                            When I needed to use psyllium husks on induction I mixed them with mayo and chopped celery as drinking them in water made me gag

                              I make this using 1 Tbl Flax seed meal, tasty, induction friendly and painless way to get your fiber supplement.
