  • Gaining weight Losing inches??

    Hi everyone,

Ok, so I have been on induction following it to the "t" and have lost inches but have GAINED weight! (4 pounds) What the heck is going on?? I know the scale is not always reliable, but seriously......what is my problem? It is NOT that time of the month, I am not eating too much sodium. Has anyone else had this prob. before?? I cannot for the life of me figure it out.....
This is me a few yrs ago at my ideal weight of 130

And this is me now on the right in the black and white shirt...

And I will get back there...I AM DETERMINED! :D

You could be building muscle (which is good) if you are exercising more than usual.
Whatever... it's the tape measure that tells the truth, so you don't need to worry.

I agree with Sally - as long as you are shrinking in size who cares what the scales say?

After all - unless you tell everyone you meet 'I weigh xxx pounds today' all they will notice about you is that you are slimmer

Many people experience that Atkins makes them lose fat in spite of what the scales tell them, so you are doing great! Keep up the good work and concentrate on that slimmer body that you are sculpting by your hard work!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

I am having a similar problem! This is my third week of induction and I've only lost 2 pounds (and as of the end of 2 weeks the scale hadn't budged). I do feel changes in my body though so I am hanging in there.

Have you looked into the whole candida thing? Most MD's think it is a bunch of nonsense but I'm beginning to think that there is something to it. Read that section in the Atkins book and think about if it makes sense for your situation. For further reading you can get Dr. Cooks "The Yeast connection".

        Hang in there...

I agree with the other posters also!! I have been on induction level carbs since around the 15th of January.............

I have only lost 7 pounds, but I am feeling GREAT, have tons of energy, able to go to the gym and work out with no problem, and people are noticing already!! DH even noticed (and he is always last to notice!!)
