SUGGESTION! MOTIVATION & GOAL AREA PLEASE?

  • SUGGESTION! MOTIVATION & GOAL AREA PLEASE?

    I hope this doesn't sound crazy, but I have this "vision" or "feeling" that there is another service here that the moderators may want to consider adding to the board that would LIFE ALTERING for many of us who are doing Atkins not just to lose weight, but with the intent to incorporate a a whole new lifestyle.

    The board deals with the Atkins diet, lifestyle, phases and even deals with issues such as addictions that affect a healthy lifestyle. This is TERRIFIC and it's great to have this!.

    There is another area that may be really helpful when we consider "lifestyle" "changes" "new you" "success" "evolution as an individual" and that is in areas of " Goal Specifics and Motivation".

    suggestion

    It would be wonderful to have a new area created on the board for GOAL SPECIFICS and MOTIVATION to living the life and lifestyle you' desire. I picture this set up like a journal area again, where we can use the journals for goal specifics only. NOT AKINS DIETING AND JOURNEY'S like the one we have now...............but for life changing purposes.

    Examples may include

    The new me or the lifestyle changes I want to make are:
    #1 Quit Smoking
    #2 Become Caffiene Free
    #3 Participate in a Fitness Competition
    #4 Pay of my Debt

    These areas may be my personal goals in life and to be truthful, many new goals people set in life come about AFTER a great success with weight loss and the increased self esteem. There WONDERFUL things to look forward too during Atkins, dieting and weight loss that this is a whole new area to be explored and shared............and by having something like this on the board we can motivate each other to obtain all these other lifestyle goals.

    My suggestion or thoughts with this is:

    1) Have 1 main forum as a main MOTIVATION FOR YOUR GOALS for general discussion .

    2) The other forum to be journals for our goals and plans to record what we do each day to bring us closer to obtaining a goal.

    Gosh sometime I write out at home what I need to do in a day in order to personally feel I've utilized my time wisely and accomplished all that I wanted to do. By doing this........i feel motivated to do it and we have others "cheering us on" about our BIG and day to day goals, it would be a powerful tool!

    What do you think, any thoughts ?

    2nd mini goal: 135 lbs
    3rd mini goal: 130 lbs
    4th mini goal: 125 lbs
    5th mini goal: 120 lbs

    I love that Idea. We actually share several goals, one of my goals is to take a motorcycle racing class though and having a goal area would be awesome.

      How cool is that!. Ya, I thought it would motivational to be able to record what daily steps and plans a person makes to reach their goal/s. Whatever they may be. It' could only inspirational!d
