  • Gary Taubes :)

I just thought it would be so helpful to have a place to reference some of his links, information, etc. I searched for threads but didn't find any dedicated to information about him.

I watched a link that someone posted in a thread yesterday and can't remember where it was, but it was incredible! I want my husband to watch it. I am going to buy his book today. It really cleared up so much for me about the low-carb way of life.

So... I thought it might be helpful to just have a place to discuss and post about his theories. If you know of any links to lectures, or just have information... please post.

I think this is probably the link to his lecture that Debi mentioned - Elizellen posted it a while back:

It's quite long, but well worth watching.

I'm nearly done with Good Calories, Bad Calories.

I've always know that LC worked for me, and I didn't really care what the orthodoxy said, but now I feel that so many people are being harmed by the low-fat, low-calorie traditional diet recommendations that I'm really ticked off!

                      I like this one:

                      http://www.alternet.org/healthwellness/70314/

The reason that nutrition science went so bad.

They know that hundreds of thousands of Americans, for instance, maybe millions, are dying every year of heart disease and cancer and diabetes, etc., and so they don't believe they have the time to rigorously test their hypotheses.
