  • Not another Keto-breath question!!!

    Yes, afraid so. I never had any complaints the last time I did atkins but I had the bad taste. This time around my hubby wont come near me.

    What can I do? I drink as much water as I can physically take, I brush constantly, what else is there?

    Someone said sugar free cough drops or candy...Looking in walmart, all the sugar free candy had TONS of carbs. Whats up with that????What kind do you guys use.

    Any other tips? Tried doing a search for all the other posts like this but my pc is acting up and not letting me at the moment.

    Is peppermint oil okay to have,just like a tiny few drops in my huge mug o water?

      What I have been told about Russell Stover candy is that is sugar free BUT they add sugar alcohol and that amount is subtracted from the number of carbs. Make sense? For example - 3 pieces = 24 grams of carbs. The sugar alcohol is 22 grams for 3 pieces so you take that off of the # of carbs. That being said, you dont have the freedom to chow down on a whole bag -- you will have tummy problems and lots of gas. I have some on hand because I am pmsing and ready to scream. It is a little treat that helps me. I am sure the veterans will have some opinions on this too.

        A lot of lowcarbers reckon that if you dont get 'bathroom issues' from sugar alcohols that you should count ALL the carbs as they are being processed by your body!!
        Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

          Ditto what Elizellen said about the sugar alcohols!

          I've not tried this, but apparently chewing on parsley helps freshen the breath. I also don't see the problem in your peppermint oil idea--I hadn't even thought of something like that!

          I don't have "ketosis" breath but I *DO* eat a ton of garlic and onions and the best thing I've found is to drink water and drink it constantly. You could also try gargling with something natural like water, or saltwater, or perhaps your peppermint oil/water?
