I have found that my loss has drastically slowed down. I am in need of kick starting my weight loss. I am not sure if I should go back to induction, or should I just drop some rungs. I am currently on the 9th rung and only have rung 8-9 maybe 1-2 time a week, if that. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Need a Kick Start.......
I am in the same predicament as you, I am on rung 9. It will be a year this Friday on this WOL and I have not lost since the end of the summer. I too have pondered between going back on rungs and induction. I honestly don't think I could do a strict induction with my life right now. So I think I am going to redo the rungs. Or at least cut back on my carb intake. Winter is such a rough time of year, it's cold and all I want to do is eat. I have been exercising religiously so that has helped and I am still toning. There's a bunch of us on here feeling the same way!Erica, 30, Female, 5'5"

Re: Need a Kick Start.......
How many carbs a day are you eating? It may be that you are approaching your maintenance level and need to cut them back a little.
I have found that as I've moved up the rungs it helps to keep a good eye on the carbs, even if you are eating a wider range of food.
I also slowed down a lot when it reached a point for a while when, with the extra choices, veg slipped to about half of my carbs. I've found that I can eat a few more carbs as long as I continue to make sure that at least 60- 65% of them are from veg. Also, what I do, and it seems to help the motor keep running, is to eat additional carbs from only one or at most two rungs other than veg in any one day. So I eat from various rungs, but not all in the same day.
Don't know if any of that is helpful to you, but it's worked for me. That said, I pretty much skipped a few rungs - dairy, legumes (nothing that really floats my boat there) and alcohol (with the odd exception around Christmas!).Kate

Re: Need a Kick Start.......
Kate~ I will take you advice. I know I have not been doing that well in the veg area . I have cut them back
and I know that some of my problem is from that and those darn Atkins products that I allow myself 1-2 times a week. I am going to get my extra carb intake form veg and only 1 other rung at a time as you suggested. I will gorget about those Atkins products. They stall me for sure
. You always have great advice & I respect your opinion. Thanks
cherribom1~ I guess I keep good company. I am going to try what Kate suggested this week.F/ 38yr

Oooh yes, cut out the "frankenfoods" and eat more veggies! If you are still TRULY stalled (a stall is 4 consecutive weeks without a loss of pounds or inches) drop back 5g or 10g and continue on.START 8/16/06 @ 270+~MG1: 220-12/2/06~MG2: 210-1/07~MG3: 199-3/2/07~MG4: 190-4/27/07~MG5: 180-7/04/07~GOAL: 170

Re: Need a Kick Start.......
im on rung 8 and my losses are tiny and slow but as long as they keep happening, i'll stick with what im doing.
i know the veggie problem too, mostly in the weekends when im less organized with what i put in my mouth
all legal and no weird atkins foods but i could eat the whole box of grapes at once if they didnt have so many carbs
