    Is it just me...

    I have been on induction since Feb 4th... my moods have def. gotten worse.


    I was stuck on the scale...ADDICTED to the evil box...sneaking up on it from behind, getting up in the middle of the night to weigh myself...bringing it to work with me (I got it bad guys)....and I did lose about 5-6 lbs.....now there is no change... I refuse to weigh myself...I started doing some exercises...especially ab routines....but now I feel bloated...like I'm not really progressing...I posted in other forums, to no avail.... but I'm needing some help here....I eat eggs, bacon, steak, chicken breast..tuna fish.....lots of water....80-90oz a day...maybe a little more....salad...diet coke, crystal lite....I have terrible headaches that won't quit.

    Should I stop, give my body a break and restart induction???? I cheated once with a cupcake...in my first week. Could it be that I'm just stalling right now? I am not seeing any change in the scale...and the tape measures reads the same. I do def. feel a difference in my pants/skirts....and my face looks a little slimmer.....

    are you getting in your 'other veggies' like broccoli, califlower, etc... you can have 1 cup from that too... and you need to, it helps with variety and nutrition and fiber. Where are you at hormonally? in the cycle ya know? tom lurking? be patient and stick with it and it will pay off big! Measure yourself too... even though the scale isn't cooperating, your clothes are telling you a different story! Pay attention! Keep up the good work, 6lbs is nothing to sneeze at! good job!

      Thnx for replying... yes I do eat broc....just not a huge fan....I snack on string cheese and pork rinds....

      Hormonally I'm all mixed up..cycle started 12 days early, presently on day4 TMI, I know......

      I have been a basket case grieving the loss of my beautiful sister and truly, that is the reason I am pushing for this. I have been unable to cope since Sept last yr....and for the first time, I am able to focus on something different for a change.


      I gained 30 lbs since she has been gone and I am ready for a new start.

        try cutting out the diet soda and crystal light. Switch to a diet drink that is made with splenda. Diet shasta cola is made with splenda. I get a huge 3 liter from the dollar store for a buck. I noticed a huge difference when i switched to that from diet pepsi.

            I agree give up the diet drinks - or restrict them severely if you are not able to give them up completely.

            YOu might also have induction flu -- try to hang on in there it will go away. Also PUT THE SCALE AWAY - as it seems to be discouraging you right now!!! Follow some of the other scaleaholics and give up custody to someone that you can get limited visitation rights to. Instead focus on your measurements and the way your clothes are fitting -- are the getting looser?

            You can do this... by the way I am so terribly sorry about the loss of your sister.

              Never thought of it that way... but I AM JUST recovering from the actual flu. I just hope that this is successful, I really have been down in the dumps. I will post my before pics as soon as I figure out how...

              As for my clothes, yes there is defin. some changes taking place. I am so thankful that I have found some support....I was really considering quitting.

              Thnx for the condolensces...it helps. She was my pillar of strength.

                I say that from what you posted. The diet soda may be your headaches and t.o.m (both mentioned by the people before me).

                Now, the scale can be a source of a great surge of happiness or a big frown and maybe even a temptation to give up. This from personal experience with the "magical box of numbers!" lol

                so, try this. set one or two days a week you weigh in! do not touch the scale till then! be creative have a count down on your sig or something X amount of days till weigh in. You will get excitement knowing you will see a loss given more time between weigh ins (sticking to plan *wink*)

                I like arizona green tea (gallon size) made with splenda. You can make your own ice tea as well, just use splenda packets. 1 packet= 1 carb.

                  Great idea...I think maybe I will just remove the soda altogether.

                  I have 30 days left, before my minivacation back home to the islands and I am really hoping for some additional loss.

                      I too would stop the diet coke and also the pork rinds...just for a week to see if it helps any. Pork Rinds are legal, but they are full of sodium so you may be holding on to water weight. Just a suggestion I think it will all work itself out. And CONGRATS on the weight loss so far

                        Great advice from everyone. I would say more veggies! You might want to post a menu for people to see. Also take your measurements & stay away from the scale!!!
