  • I <3 SALAD

    Arn't salads awesome !! I have really been enjoying my salads latey .. I make all different ones to keep it interesting too ( all low carb versions of course) ... like today i had a chicken ceaser , yesterday i made a club .. sometimes i make an italian antipasta one ...


    Whats your favorite way to make a salad?

    I love salad!! I had a cucumber salad yesterday that had cucumbers, green peppers, celery, tomatos, and cheese. Seasoned just right and had a low carb ranch to go with it! It was the perfect side dish to my pork steak

    Egg salad is another favorite of mine - I just love it!

          Ken's Salad Dressing
          Maple Grove Farms
          Walden Farms
          Wishbone Spritzers
          and
          Kraft Dressings


          Restart: DEC. 16th, 2009 (why wait for Christmas)

            I have a bog-standard way of making salad to cut out thinking time. I have:
            2 cups lettuce
            1 cup raw spinach or rocket (arugula)
            1/2 c peppers and/or cucumber and/or celery

            Then as protein/fat throw one of these on top:
            - tuna and mayo (sometimes I microwave it with cheese on cold days)
            - avocado, cheese and mayo with 3 or 4 cherry tomatos
            - chicken with pesto, mayo or cheese
            - any cold meat left overs, usually with tomatos
            - bacon and avocado
            - egg mayo - very decadent is fried egg mayo and cheese.

            These are my dressings, I don't use anything else, just never really felt the need.

            Yum! Never get sick of these.
