    Help with Lawry's seasoning salt!

A friend of mine is doing this diet too and she is using Lawry's seasoning salt. She just realized it had sugar in it and she asks if she should stop using it. has anyone used this before? What are you thoughts. My thought is if she can live without it, to stop using it.

Ingredients: salt, sugar, constarch, dehydrated vegetables(garlic, onion), spices and spice extract, canola oil, semolina, tumeric, paprika

    calories:0
    total fat:0
    total carbohydrate:0
    protein:0

I note sugar is second so it is the second highest concentration in the product.

Note that it also has cornstarch and onions in it. Later on, probably not such a big deal unless you are pouring the stuff on, but a shake or two won't likely kill you on OWL. I'd skip it for Induction most certainly.

A better bet - figure out what spices they use, and just mix your own. Garlic powder, onion powder and salt are not hard to mix.

I use Tony Chachere's Special Herbal Blend Spice N' Herbs Seasoning:

        0 Calories
        0 Fat
        0 Carbs
        0 Sugars

Ingredients: Salt, Red Pepper, Black Pepper, Garlic, Spices, Thyme, Basil, Oregano, Bayleaf, and Silicon Dioxide (to prevent caking)

I love this stuff! It's great on chicken, pork and steak, and I've tried it on veggies too. Pretty great stuff!

          Hi,
          Here's my 2 cents:
I use Dash as my seasoning of choice... there is 'table top'... which I put on everything (even my kids like it)
there are other flavors like italian, etc... It's a great salt substitute as well. check it out.
Anything that has corn starch in it has carbs so it can cause a stall.

Thanks for your replies everyone! I have given her this link so she can come see your suggestions!

Btw, I love Tony Chachere's. I haven't bought any since I moved out west.
