Yes, they are allowed. They are on the Special Category Foods List and you are allowed 10-20 olives a day. If you see a slow down in your weightloss, you may want to avoid them for the first two weeks of Induction and use them in moderation. Sherri

I too love black olives--they are full of heart healthy fat and so-o-o-o tasty.
I ate them during induction (10 per day max) and still have several almost every day either alone or sliced up in salad. I buy 6 cans at a time at Sam's which lowers the price a bit.

Olives are good (stick to the allowed amount in induction). Watch the sodium though; some kinds are pretty salty.
