  • the atkins playlist

ok I was bored tonight so I decided to come up with some songs that I think are relative to the atkins diet. I only have one so far but it's pretty atkins to the core.

anyways enjoy and if anyone can think of some other songs to add just post em on the thread and I'll add it.

I suppose "Baby Got Back" is not the sort of thing you are looking for?

How about "Rock Lobster" by the B52s.
    Dana Carvey's Broccoli song

I did a search and found this list:

What about the theme music to Fraiser? "Tossed salad and scrambled eggs"

        Others that come to mind:

Eat your greens - LLoyd Cole
"don't hesitate, there is no time like now for you to break the habits of a lifetime"

Home grown Tomatos - Guy Clark
"Ain't nothin' in the world that I like better Than bacon & lettuce & homegrown tomatoes"

You gotta eat your spinach - Shirley Temple
"it'll keep you nice and strong, and the stronger you are, the longer you'll live"

Green onions - Booker T and the MGs (no lyrics, but still.....)

Call any Vegetable - Frank Zappa
"This is a song about vegetables, they keep ya regular They're real good for you"

        Vegetables - Beach Boys
"I'm gonna be round my vegetables, I'm gonna chow down my vegetables"

Hotdogs and Hamburgers - John Mellencamp
"Now everybody has got the choice between hotdogs and hamburgers. Every one of us has got to choose"

Too funny - PinkWoman I'm learning to play guitar as well. I have a thing for electric guitars I don't know why. I'm actually building one myself as a creative project. It's a beautiful mahogany Les Paul style with a Brasilian Rosewood fingerboard - gold hardware.

Someday we can have an ADDB band and play all these silly songs

          • Cardio T, Th, S 90 minutes
          • Average Intake=1300-1400 Average Expenditure=3200
          • Low sodium (attempting - it's really tricky!)
          • Grazing Approach
          • Use of vitamins and whey protein isolate

Ha! the tossed salad and scrambled eggs song...too funny!

how about the atkins diet parody song sung to the tune of celine dions "all by myself"

            lyrics:

            When I was young
I weighed at least a quarter ton
And pigging out was just for fun
            Those days are gone

            Now I've slimmed down
I lost about four hundred pounds
By eating steak with no hash browns
            (They're out of bounds...)

            I'll buy no carbs
            No rice or bread
            I'll buy no carbs
            Anymore

            I'll buy no carbs
            No Tater Tots
            I'll buy no carbs
            Anymore

            Won't eat a crumb
I walk right past the Cinnabon
The pizza place had to adjust:
            All cheese, no crust

            I'll buy no carbs
            No rice or bread
            I'll buy no carbs
            Anymore

            I'll buy no carbs
            No Tater Tots
            I'll buy no carbs
            Anymore
