    Pumpkin Question (not for Mitzi!!) :)

    I use Libby's canned pumpkin, 15 ounce can. I break that down into 3 servings of 5 ounces each. But I don't eat pumpkin every day. Does anyone know how long this will stay good in the frig (in a plastic container)???





    290 lbs. on 11/02/07 Goal: 145 lbs. or size 14 whichever comes first!

    Hey Chicklady!!

    It will last at least a week or two refrigerated in a sealed container--I used to give it to my dog for "bowel issues" and she loved it but only got about a tablespoon per day. It got some mold on it a few times after about 2 weeks as I remember. Always wondered if you could freeze it but never tried it...
    When you get to the end of your rope tie a knot in it and hang on!

      Thanks pamela. as long as it makes it through about 9 days. I had the last one in the frig for a week, and it smelled OK, but I wasn't sure, so i fed it to my chickens (hey-it made them happy )

        I agree that it will stay up to 2 weeks, i keep mine in a tupperware in the fridge too...

        It won't go bad without molding first..like any veggie, you'll know.
