  • Off on holiday and worried!

    Hi I am flying off to Cyprus next Wednesday and i am a bit worried about eating out there. I know i can eat olives and feta and salad but i am unsure of other cypriot dishes and what they contain. Can anyone give me some tips and ideas for eating out abroad , this is my first trip since starting atkins.

    Here's a site that talks about cypriot food. I've been to Greece and Turkey (not on Atkins) and their food is simply delicious. As I recall, lots of meat and fish, healthy vegetables, and olive oil. I think you'll do fine as long as you avoid the sweets!       I have just returned from holiday and managed to stick to plan fairly easily. I would stick to Greek style salads and then fish, meat and legal veg or salad. Ask for dishes with no flour or sugar (or gravy). Good luck x
