  • I'm back but I need help

    Hi all,
So I have lapsed in my atkins-ing. Not seriously- I haven't gained any weight back, but I'm definitely not losing either, and my mental state is just completely bewildered. Here's what happened: I did induction in early February and lost about 7 pounds. Then, instead of going to OWL, I extended induction for 2 weeks and lost nothing. Then I added veggies but also started cheating more by having more dairy, 1/2 and 1/2 in my coffee and these 'Pure Protein' bars and also the atkins bars- but I didn't lose or gain anything. So by then I was so bored and frustrated that I figured that as long as I wasn't losing either on induction or on cheating-induction, I'd rather have the variety of cheating induction! But then of course I started really cheating. I drank alcohol on a few occasions, had fruit, one time ate like two pieces of cake. But strangely, despite all those cheats, I didn't gain or lose anything. So now I'm just confused. I mean, I suppose I should go back and try to do a "clean" induction again, but I just don't think I have it in me, especially when I don't lose weight doing it (one of my problems is that I really don't like meat all that much, but gained weight like gangbusters when I tried a veggie diet). I've revised my current goal from 128 to 138 (I'm 148 right now) and I've started running sporadically. But what should I be eating?! I'm so sick of trying to pick what to eat that yesterday I subsisted almost entirely on blue cheese, lettuce, and coffee. Please help me! Any advice, and even scolding, would be welcome at this point. I am bound and determined to weigh 130 when I turn 30 in 7 months.

I would say to pick up where you left off. If it were the veggies rung, start there. The more veggies the better! Going back to induction may just frustrate you and might not be the answer to weight loss right now. The last thing you need is to get bored with food choices. Good luck!!
