    Re: Corn?

Corn is not allowed. If it's allowed at all it's when your in maintanance if your carb count allows. Did you read the book? If not I highly recommend it. It will explain why some veg's are allowed and not others. Here are some links to get you started.

      Re: Corn?

It depends what phase of the plan you're on. Corn is not on the allowable list for induction. If you do not have a copy of Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution 2002 edition I would suggest you get one as soon as possible and digest the book from cover to cover as that goes over extensively what you can and can't eat during induction and what you add back in the OWL phase.

Until then, check out the appropriate forum for the phase you're currently on and search the stickies at the top. They are a wealth of information concerning different foods including the induction foods list and the order of the OWL ladder.

      Best of luck,

        Re: Corn?

Corn is a grain, so as the others have said, is not allowed on induciton and on OWL would be an item you could reintroduce when you reach the grains rung.

BTW 5 net grams of corn (which is the amount you would add in OWL rung 9) is a fairly small amount as according to www.fitday.com one small ear of corn has about 12 net grams!!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
