Hey guys...so, after a busted week four...just a slow exercise week...,I lost three pounds in week five...down to 262. Really trying to up the exercise factor now, if I don't, the scale don't move!!!
A great milestone today: I ran full 15-minute mile, continuously, at the gym. When I first started, I couldn't run a quarter-mile without stopping, even at 20minute-mile. So I'm stoked about that. PROGRESS!!!!
Also, wifey, who's always been thin and athletic, put on about 30 pounds after quitting cigs last year. She suffers from celiac disease, an allergy to gluten, among other grains.
I finally convinced her to try the atkins woe, and she lost 6 pounds her first week, down from 140 to 134...She's so psyched. More importantly, she is symptom free, and has never felt healthier.
I know how she feels...Even when I don't lose on the scale, why would I go back to the devil-carbs, feeling as good as I do?
Good luck all..
Mitch
