Re: Atkins vs Zone - zoners' responses

    Freklz,
Ask away sweetie. I get confused a lot too You should be able to ask what ever you like and get support. I myself don't know a lot about The Zone Diet except what I have read in "Living the low carb life...how to choose the diet that's right for you" by Jonny Bowden, WHO I LOVE!!! It may be a good book for you to pick up and look at. It has Stuff on Atkins, Protein Power, The Zone, South Beach and more. AND he gave Atkins and The Zone 5 stars (which was the highest stars you could get). He had good things to say about both. Just something to throw out there that might help you decide Good luck sweetie!!!

This caught my attention as to the fat percentage on Atkins. Has there been a discussion about the quality of allowable fats as to the content of omega 3s? I've read Taube's recent book and have since come to think the any perceived failure of a high fat diet is more in how the food is produced. We developed by eating high fat and protein, it's that our food supply is so bady tainted that it becomes the problem. If you've had this discussion, could someone link that thread for me?

          Thanks,

just to chirp in-i love the "living the low carb life" book. i have a copy and it is great! i got it a few years ago when i first started low carbing and i still reference it for his section on vitamins and breaking stalls. Very great read and really helps you understand all the other low carb plans out there. Also reinforced for me that Atkins was the way to go!
