I feel like I read this somewhere but can't find it....does DANDR recommend counting the 1g carb per egg? It doesn't seem so but thought I'd ask.
THANKS!!

I just don't remember reading in DANDR anything about counting egg carbs, but then people here say to count it....I'm confused.

I count each egg as one carb because they are one carb. If I don't count it, I would go over my carb count each day. I just read the egg carton for info.
The book doesn't say to count egg carbs, but the reason you are advised to eat three cups of salad veggies (or two and a cup of other veggies), which do not contain 20 grams of carbs, is so by the time you add in cheese carbs, cream carbs, egg carbs, Splenda carbs, etc., you will be up to the 20 grams of allowable carbs for the day. It just makes it easier to get through the day. If you abide by the limits on veggies, cheese, cream and Splenda and you stop eating when satisfied, you should be pretty close to your 20 grams of carbs. Eggs are very filling, so you wouldn't be expected to eat a dozen a day. I never actually counted the carbs in eggs, but in the back of my mind I knew that they contain carbs, so they were adding to the daily total.
Sunny!
People who say it can't be done, should not interrupt those doing it.
