    Been rejected by the Atkins Diet Team and not allowed to join

    I wanted to sign up with a new name and new account. I wanted a fresh start. Since you can't delete an exsiting account (at least thats what I have been told before) I opened a new account and after I registered I my account was deleted. This happened several times until I sent the webmaster an e-mail asking what was going on. Here is the response,

    "Dear xxx,

    Unfortunately your registration at Atkins Diet did not meet our membership requirements. Therefore your registration was deleted.

    Sorry,
    Atkins Diet team"

    Is this the way it works? The name I picked was not vulgar. I don't understand the rejection. I had given up on this diet but wanted to start anew. I wanted to be in this forum for the support. But if I am "not good enough" I guess I will have to do it on my own.

    I guess I will have to become a 'silent' member and just get information and not share any success I might have. I thought this forum was about helping people, but I guess that does not mean everybody.

    What site are you referring to? Atkins.com?

      That's what I was wondring as well...

        This site. This is my old account. And they won't let me sign up with a new account. I don't even think they new that I had an old account, they rejected my for some reason.

          Perhaps the reason they rejected your new registration was b/c they could see you were from the same ISP number?

          I could suggest private messaging a moderator instead of ranting in a thread. That way you can get the direct answers from those who rejected your new account.

          Also, no one ever said you weren't good enough for this diet.. they do not just reject people for no reason. They work very hard to keep this board nice and free from spammers, etc. This could all be a misunderstanding. Please do not judge this board and assume that we don't want to help everyone. Everyone is welcome here...and btw, that message you recieved is a default message, I have recieved it on other boards as well.

          Try messaging an administrator and explain that you would like to start with a new name and have been rejected...

            It shouldn't matter if I am registering from the same ISP. I live in an apartment complex with 2,500 people, and we share a network and a common ISP. I have probably told 50 people about this forum and several are members.

            I did ask for an explanation and have not heard back. It took me having to register three times and then emailing the webmaster about why my account had been deleted till I got that generic, templated response.

            I could see if this happned once, but three times? And then no real explantion.

            I don't think I am not good enough for the diet, but for some reason I don't meet the standards. At least that's what I have been told.

              jsj is correct - we do not just reject people for no reason. You wouldn't believe the amount of spammers, etc, that we have to deal with. Perhaps it was just a misunderstanding. I will see if an administrator got your request for an explanation.

                Which is why I suggested directly private messaging an administrator who might be able to better answer your question.

                    I tried that already. How long am I suppose to wait? Coming on here was the quickest way to get a reply.

                    I wanted to get this started and don't want to spend all weekend hoping somebody repsonds to my e-mail.

                          I understand that you're frustrated. You can get your diet and everything going and post under the name you have now until you find out if you can have a second user name. Everyone on here wants you to succeed...even if you have to post and use your current screen name

                            I think you can't use the same e-mail address on two different accounts!?
                            Maybe that's the problem.
