  • Curves?

    Hi Everyone! I'm thinking of joining Curves. I like the idea of a woman-only workout and the circuit seems like a good idea considering I have little to no physical activity at the moment. I was wondering if any of you have ever been and if you think it works.

    I worked at a Curves for years. The hydraulic resistance weights are not for everybody. Basically, the resistance is built up with speed, and they will only give you back what YOU put into them. Too many people would waste the 30 seconds on the machine, jump around like a fool on the rest station (and it IS a rest station, not an aerobics station, your heart rate should already be high enough from the machine or you simply did not work it hard enough) and really get no beter of a workout than they could get at home. Done properly, it is a phenominal workout though. Its just easy to get lazy with it. But then again, you could say that about anything I guess...
