  • Lost 6.5lbs first week but...

    Hi there everyone!

Hope someone can help me with this!
I lost 6.5lbs in first week on Induction. I decided to do the Extended Induction, done one week, another week to go.

My point is, i have not lost anymore weight at all, should i just get straight onto OWL or do the last week of Extended Induction?

Any tips on getting this weight to shift, i only have 15 lbs to go?

I feel thinner, but can't see it on the scales, weight is static!!

Any suggestions will be greatly recieved.

    Thanks
    Danielle

If you've only done one week so far, your still in regular Induction, it's 2 weeks long. As for your weight not shifting anymore, try moving up the rungs and see if it starts moving again, or post your menus and have everyone look them over to see if something you've been eating is causing your stall.

You have a 21 pound weight loss goal and you lost 6.5 of that during your 2 week Induction. In other words, you lost about 30% of your weight. During Induction, we can expect to lose 5-10% of the weight we need to lose.

Clearly, you have a low metabolic resistance to weight loss and staying on Induction isn't going to speed up your weight loss or anything else.

By the way, many people hit a "Post Induction Stall" where they don't lose weight during week 3-6 of the Diet. So you might be in that. However, if you are losing inches, you are losing weight. So if you haven't started measuring yourself, do so now.

I agree with what Megs said. You had a huge induction weight loss!

Thanks so much for your replies!
I will move onto OWl, hoping weight will start to move, what i really like about Atkins the best;i do not feel hungary so no cheats or binges;like i used to have with Low Fat plans!
Even a pund a week, i would be very happy.
One thing i know, i have come this far, no way i a giving up, for life.
            Thanks again
