  • Stalled...reverting back to basics

So this is the end of week 3 for me. First week went great, lost 6.5 pounds, which I know mostly is water weight. Week two I lost 2.5 pounds. Week 3 nothing. I think I know two issues, I started drinking 1 diet pepsi a day (20 oz, counting it as 3 grams of carbs) and I think the cheese is getting to me.

So today...no soda...which stinks, and no cheese. I will see how it goes. I am happy to have lost 9 pounds so far. I am hoping my body will catch up soon so I can lose a little more.

9 pounds is wonderful! I stay far away from diet drinks (including Crystal Light) they've never helped me out. If you can eat cheese in moderation, you can have 3-4 ounces of cheese. Unless you're having a food issue with it.

Would you consider moving to OWL and up the rungs so you'll have the chance to be happier with the food choices? If you've lost 9 pounds during the 14 day induction you have a average to low resistance to weight loss. That's great news! I lost well on extended induction, but I'm happier and losing just as well on OWL.

      I agree with Nichole
Congratulations on that huge percentage loss 9 pounds already gone from a total 47 is really great !!

With 38 pounds or so left to lose, staying on induction any longer will probably not help you lose weight any faster than if you move to the next phase of Atkins (OWL)

However stopping using your 3 servings of sweetener on diet drinks as well as maybe not going overboard on cheese might be a good idea even when you move to OWL
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Remember that a 'stall' is 4 weeks without weight or inches lost according to DANDR

Giving up the soda is an excellent idea. Trust me, over time your tastes change and I predict in the future you won't even like them anymore!
