    Help!!

Its day 12 of induction. At day 7 I was down 6 lbs. I am still only down six pounds, however, it will be that time of month any day now. Could that be holding a few pounds up? I thought I would have at least 8 - 10 off by day 14.

I get so discouraged and just want to throw in the towel when this happens.

    Re: Help!!

Don't get discouraged. Keep in mind that most people lose 5-10% of total weight loss during the entire span of Induction, your 5 lb. loss is passed that 10% mark so that's really good! Be patient you will lose the weight. Also keep in mind that since you don't have a lot to lose your body will lose weight slower. Hang in there!

Don't throw in the towel! It's just TOM and his tricks with the scale. Chin up sweets...you'll be back into the swing of things after he leaves

            Re: Help!!

I like how your eyes see things. As for exercise, first week I think I did only 45 min. of cardio (I know, not enough). Last week, including this weekend I went to the gym twice doing 30 min of cardio and 100 sit ups each time. Saturday I played tennis for about 1 hour. I know I need to increase the working out to 3 to 4 times a week and add some weights. Not quitting just nerve racking.

                Re: Help!!

These things take time so be patient. I average a 6 pound a month loss and that included my first MONTH on Atkins. You TOM will cause all kinds of scale weirdness but afterward my scale stays the same for about three days, then seesaws and then finally starts going down again.
