  • Is this Ok?

I know, I need to buy the book. I had one tortilla wrapped around my eggs. The tortilla has 11 carbs, but 8 fibers, 5 protien and zero sugar. I am on OWL. So is one or two of these a day ok? I feel like Im cheating. How about strawberries? How many can I have per day?

    Thank you.

It depends on what run of OWL you are on and the ingredients in the wrap. If it contains wheat or any grains, it would not be allowed until the grains run which is 9.

As Jen said, it would depend on which rung of OWL you have reached. Berries are on Rung 4.

And as for how much of anything . . . . you can add up to 5 net carbs when trying food on the various rungs.
1 cup of whole strawberries has about 7 net carbs, a cup of sliced strawberries has about 8 net carbs according to fitday.com , so you would have to work out how many strawberries make 5 net carbs when you reach the Berries rung.

If you are not going to read the book you need to read the sticky threads in the OWL forum to get a handle on how to OWL.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

At very least, since you don't have the book, I recommend you read all the stickies starting in the main forum, then induction, then OWL, etc. A lot of great info and answers to your questions.

And do buy the book...so you can get the full benefit of this way of eating. If not you are sure to fail Atkins not Atkins failing you. You are worth the investment.

Thanks to all of you. What lifesavers you are. The link and the breakdown is awesome. And rungs, I didn't know what a rung was until I read all of your emails. Any accomplishments I make in this journey, you are all very much a part of. I am so excited I found this site. And yes, I will get the book!!! I hope all of you are doing fabulous.
            THANK YOU!!!!

Sammy, how are you on OWL if you don't know what a rung is? Can you please detail what you eat in a normal day so we can see if we can tweak it to help you?

              Thanks!
