  • Stevia - a staller?

I so miss a little sweetner in my tea But have cut out sweetners from a 12 day stall. Does stevia do the same thing as all those other nasties? Anyone stalled on stevia before?

If simply a "sweet taste" causes an insulin surge in you (as can happen with some people), then yes I think stevia or any other sweetner could cause a stall. Stevia is a natural sweetner though, so probably a better choice than many... if you like the taste.

Hi Pixy.....I think everyone has a different story to tell when it comes to sweeteners. I, myself, don't experience stalls on any of the sweeteners (even the "nasty" ones), and never have. Stevia, however, makes me feel sick to my stomach, so I don't use it.

I honestly think this is one thing you're going to want to take cues from your body. It'll have the best advice for you on how to proceed.
