has anyone had any experience with them while on atkins?

    Re: using diet supplements?

Hi vitaminc! I don't use any "diet" supplements, but I do take vitamin and fibre supplements. I'm finding it to make a huge difference. It's the first time I've attempted induction while taking anything and I don't know why I didn't do it before. I guess I just didn't have the habit going.

I take a woman's formula multivitamin, bee pollen, royal jelly, vitamin C, calcium, and fibre. Nothing too fancy.

Oh, ya, be careful with that then. I did take something years ago (I wasn't on Atkins at the time) but I don't remember what it was. NanoSlim or something like that. I remember it made me really sick and I returned it for a refund. GNC is awesome for that.

Good luck and do be careful!

just to let you know, you won't need ANYTHING to subside your appetite or cravings even once your in your first week of atkins...trust me. in the first 3-5 days, you will have cravings and induction flu (not everyone does) but after that, it's like you're in another body!!! just prepare your meals ahead of time, and always try to find new recipes...that will help too. don't put that other junk in your system...you want to detox your body of bad things!!!!

              Re: using diet supplements?

I definitely don't need anything to control my appetite other than this way of eating. I've never been happier and I feel as though I have control over my cravings now.

i found my problem on this diet was that id eat the acceptable foods, but i couldnt control my hunger and i'd over eat a bit sometimes. just cuz its allowed doesnt mean i can eat like 5 pounds of it lol. but i found with these diet supplements, it helps me and makes it easier for me to control it so i can still lose weight

Control is definitely the key. I don't have a problem with....as long as I'm following the rules. As soon as I start adding my own twist on things it all falls apart. Prepackaged low carb "goodies" seem to derail me. Sticking to the whole foods keeps me full and on track much better.

                    Re: using diet supplements?

Personally - I just take vitamins. I don't trust diet drugs.

I have always wondered (does anybody know?) if there are any carb-content we should apply to vitamins. On Atkins - a good B vitamin is critical. We get so little w/o riboflavin.

Personally, I take a multi-vite, a B-complex, Fish Oil, Flax Oil, Zinc, Magnesium, Cinnamon, Alpha-Lipolic, Quercetin and Boswellia. That sounds like a lot - but it isn't a big deal.

I'd love to have a low-carb protein shake (preferrably a meal replacement) that I can stand. But I haven't found one.

                    Best....

                      Re: using diet supplements?

The primary ingredients in Stacker 3 are Ephedrine, Caffeine and Aspirin
I wouldnt use them at all, especially at your age.
                      According to a google search
You can expect similar side effects in all fatburners:
                      Increased blood pressure
                      Increased heart rate
                      Headaches, lightheadedness & dizzyness
                      Loss of appetite
                      Feeling restless and hyperactive
                      Feeling nervous and easily excited
                      Having trouble sleeping at night
As others have said you should not need to add this kind of pill to your Atkins eating.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

The ECA Stack - as it is known in body building circles - will take fat off you. It is remarkably effective. Unfortunately, it is horrible for your heart and can cause arrhythmia. The reason the Aspirin is there is to stop your heart exploding because of E & C. No joke. It is a "protectant" since the other two are so harmful.

The ECA Stack has been removed by the FDA. Nobody sells it anymore.

                          Don't do it!

The only thing I would be thinking about is this---If you are using the stackers to control the appetite, you are not thinking about doing the controlling of your food. The pill is doing it for you. It may be just what you need short term, but you may want to wean yourself off of them later and start to consciously fight those urges so you can take the reins on this and not the stacker. I have used hydroxycut and some of the others in the past and honestly, saw no difference. Now I use vitamins, glutamine (I weight train and my trainer advised it) and fiber.
