Learned a tip from my ever skinny daughter. She said the way she keeps from over eating foods that she knows will cause her to gain weight is to eat whatever controlled portion she has allowed herself and then... she goes and brushes her teeth!
She is not on Atkins and uses this to keep from over eating with candy, potato chips, etc. But i think this tip would work for those legal foods that are hard to control portions of such as nuts, "legal sweet" treats, etc.
She said once you brush your teeth and remove the remnants of flavor, you lose that urge to have just one more....
