Scales back into their hiding place for a month.

In the past I became obsessed with the number, what it showed me made or broke my spirit. I ignored the other signs like how clothes fitted and was ruled by numbers. I knew I needed to change that and with my partners help I think I have suceeded. Now I also get the wow factor..I look forward to the next weigh in and that wow factor, it's also kind of satisfying to see it come off in large chunks rather than a pound here and there
That is great that your partner is willing to help you by hiding the scale from you! Your induction weeks turned out fantastic!

I've seen people that lose several pounds the first week, and when the scale doesn't move for a couple of days or goes up a bit one day, go berserk and start stuffing the carbs. If they had stayed off the scale, they would have never known and probably would have lost a bunch by the 14th day.

I usually only weigh once a week, but have been weighing every day for two weeks so I have a base line for when I started new supplements today and changed up a few things. I can't say I was happy when my weight jumped up a pound or two for no reason at all, but I didn't let it send me over the edge. Over the 14 days, I am down 5 pounds. It really brings home how your weight goes up and down when you are doing everything right and if you just have patience, the trend will be down.

This could be a very good tool to keep you from ever cheating! Just make a pact that if you want to cheat, you are allowed to do so ONLY if you eat "insert carbage here ", standing naked in front of a full length mirror!

Good point. I don't even know why I bother having my weight in my sig anymore because I haven't lost a single pound in a month. My progress has pretty much been tracked solely through the tape measure (I've lost 18.5 inches since I started in May.) I hate measuring though because I never know if I am doing it the same or if my readings are accurate. I just ordered a body fat/water/bone density scale so maybe that will actually be useful unlike the scale I have now. I honestly wouldn't care if I weighed 153 for the rest of my life as long as I was healthy and I felt good about how I looked.
