Re: Why the Scale Lies - The Importance of Measuring

I am LOVING this post! I have been on the Atkins plan for the past 3 weeks or so and have lost a total of 8 pounds. I was actually feeling a little discouraged - not terribly because I have watched my clothing begin to fit better. The problem is that the first time around, I lost the weight much more rapidly and I was comparing. Anyhow, today I measured myself again and I have lost a total of 9.5 inches! I am psyched!

    Thanks for the great post!

and also on the fact that it got very positive ratings on Amazon. Its also very reasonably priced. I don't have a way of testing its accuracy unless I were to have my body fat tested by a doctor or at a gym (my gym doesn't offer it) but it is very consistent. I really like it.

I wanted to thank you for the link. I purchased the scale from Amazon, and it is really nice and very reasonably priced. It even came with the battery. The only problem is that I discovered that my antique scale was weighing me light by about 7 pounds. Oh, that's right, it's digital...make that 7.3 pounds. That's ok...I would have found this out the next time I went to the doctor's, right? So, you've saved me from the shock I would have gotten on a real scale, right? Thanks again!

Thanks for such an awesome post Vanessa! I have been losing inches and not pounds lately, also.
