Oh yeah...congrats on hitting your goal goodness where are my manners?? I was just shocked that an Atkineer had high BP. Are you under stress?? Does it run in your family?? Of course I'd recommend you follow your doctor's orders. Hopefully it won't affect your carbs in a way to throw you off from your weight goal.
surprisingly adding back some grains in the morning didn't cause any cravings or weight gain. i'm still at goal!
my doctor just told me to eat no fast foods and stop eating greasy foods. also, he told me to exercise but no need, i exercise everyday lol
I am wondering if you need to add some good fat to your diet. It looks pretty sparse in your menu. So does food...but I am not at maintence so have no idea what a menu at that stage looks like. Also check out this link to add fiber that helps lower it also. http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...tml#post927521
You could sprinkle on your salad. And of course if you do your 2 cups of veggies and 1 cup other veggie every day that would add even more.
Good on you for reaching goal and checking in with a doctor. Keep up the great work! Very impressive...especially for your age! You rock!

im eating oatmeal with raisins for breakfast
a banana for a snack
a salad for lunch
and maybe a yogurt for dinner if im hungry
Congrats on reaching goal.
As to the high cholesterol, you are sure not getting it from eating meat because you aren't eating any!. I would suggest Atkins maintenance and lots of exercise. Both are good for cholesterol. The diet you have listed above is pretty much starvation food. At your age, you sure need some protein!
If you don't choose atkins for maintenance, at least choose some healthy, balanced plan and stay with it.
High Cholesterol can also be hereditary. Does yur family have a history of it? If so you may now or eventually need medication to reduce it. Bestwishes!

What kind of exercise do you do, and how much? I really think exercise is the biggest factor in my cholesterol numbers but it means 4 days a week of moderate to hard workouts.

"I've never come home after a workout and said, MAN, I wish I had NOT exercised today!"
i do strength training everyday and martial arts for an hour 3x a week.
i exercise everyday so thats not the issue. im just trying to lower my cholesterol. even with the addition of whole grains again im doing fine, my weights the same.
You are right. The concern is not your exercise. We are questioning the amount of food you are eating and what you are eating. Only because this is an Atkins list. So you are not eating enough veggies or protein. Not an Atkins maintenance way of eating.

im eating only when im hungry and til im satisfied.
im guessing my problem might be not enough protein and veggies.
also, i've been experiencing head aches and tiredness lately, is it because i added a lot more carbs back into my diet?
oddly enough, my weight fluctuates up and down by 1 pound but always stays at 170 by the end of the day.
Yes...I would say that with the exercising you are doing you need to add those things back in. It should help with the tiredness and the headaches. You are not eating enough either. Protein should be about 30% of your calories no matter which stage of Atkins you are at. I know it is scary but adding in the right kinds of foods will make you healthier. Adding some good fat in is not going to hurt you. Take a look at the maintenance part of Atkins and try eating closer to that. The banana you are eating is a higher carb fruit. So if you need to adjust the amount of carbs you are eating you can switch that out for a lower carb one. You may want to read up in the maintenance forum also. Learning how to maintain your weight lose is as important as losing the weight. Good Luck!
