  • Great Article about fittness while doing ATKINS

I was just killing time and doing some general searches on google about Atkins... LOTS of stuff, good and bad out there.... this article however is great...( with the exception of the sales pitch at the end...)
I just really liked the incredibly positive spin about Atkins from a non diet specific place....
    Read it for yourself here:
Get Fit While Following the Atkins Diet

I can relate to alot of what is stated in this article.

It's nice to see a positive spin. I love that he is doing triathalons on Atkins Maintenance. I have read so much garbage about how you can't run distances without carbs. Nice post.

            Interesting.
I was hoping to read that book Trager just come out with "The All New Atkins Advantage" I think read someone saiying he really stresses exercise in it. I have a hold on it at the library but the waiting list is long. Maybe that is a good thing Lots of people in my area interested in the Atkins Approach.

Re: Great Article about fittness while doing ATKINS

Thanks for posting that! I used to work at a gym a while back and all the boxing trainer (who was a multiple golden glove winner who also trained Evander Holyfield) put all his clients on a low carb diet (including me at the time) and boxing is considered to be one of the hardest and most physically demanding sports in the world. So obviously there is something to be said for it.

Hi eclectikat, nice find. What interested me in this article was the use of Atkins with trained or training athletes. Always nice to hear it from a doctor. Thanks.
